Smart electricity control
Jednotka is a home energy manager: based on electricity prices, the solar forecast and battery state, it controls your battery, car charging, water heater and heat pump on its own.
Get in touchOverview
The live flow of energy in the home on a single screen: how much is being produced and consumed, and where energy goes, into the battery, to the grid, or from the grid. On your phone you see the state of the home and the history of recent days. If Jednotka stops sending data, the app tells you.
Spot prices
Jednotka knows the electricity prices for the coming hours and uses them to choose when to consume and when selling surplus pays off. The app shows a price overview with the cheapest and most expensive hours. It also recognises moments when selling to the grid does not pay, for example at a negative price.
Solar
Jednotka follows the output of your solar panels and takes the forecast for the coming hours into account. In the app you see current production and the forecast. When selling surplus is unfavourable, for example at a negative price, the app shows it and Jednotka accounts for it when planning.
Battery
Jednotka decides when to charge the battery and when to draw from it, based on electricity prices and the production forecast, with battery lifetime in mind. In the app you see the state of charge and the course of recent days.
Water heater
It heats water mainly from solar surplus or in the cheapest hours. In the app you see when the heater ran, and you set target temperatures. Jednotka makes sure hot water is there when you need it.
Car
The electric car charges in the most favourable hours and Jednotka makes sure it is ready in the morning. The app sends you notifications: when charging is cheapest, an evening reminder if the car is not plugged in, and a confirmation once it is. You set charging limits in the app.
Heat pump
When electricity is cheap, Jednotka pre-heats the house and so lets the heat pump use price differences. Heat pump control is being prepared at the first homes. Comfort in the house stays the same, only the timing changes.
Settings
Homeowners and installers set up, in the app, the low-tariff windows (including public holidays), the circuit breaker, solar capacity, electricity prices, car charging limits and water heater temperatures. You can also switch individual notifications on or off. Jednotka follows what you enter.
How it works
No complicated setup. We connect the unit and, at first, we only watch.
- Installed next to your inverterAn electrician connects Jednotka to your inverter and home network.
- Three weeks of measuring onlyJednotka learns how your home lives and controls nothing. You see what it would do.
- Then it controls, with your consentOnly once you approve does Jednotka start controlling the home. You can switch it back to measuring at any time.
We do not promise savings yet. We are measuring them at the first homes and will publish figures once they are backed by data.
Who it is for
Jednotka makes sense wherever more than one device can be controlled by price.
- Homes with solar panels and a battery
- Homes with an electric car and a wallbox
- Homes with a heat pump
- Solar installers who want to offer smart electricity control with their installations
Who is behind it
